Rams Allow Forsett to Run Wild, Lose to Seahawks 27-17
Another Sunday, and it’s the same old broken record for the St. Louis Rams… another loss.
The Rams could do nothing but watch as the Seahawks’ Justin Forsett tore them apart on the ground, rushing for 130 yards and two touchdowns on 22 carries, during their 27-17 loss to the Seahawks on Sunday.
“Yeah, that was a step backward,” Rams defensive end Leonard Little said. “I think we’ve got a long way to go, so we can’t afford to take any steps backward.”
Not much went right for the Rams, who were still in the game through halftime (only losing 14-10) before the Seahawks started pulling away in the second half.
As usual, the only bright spot for the Rams was RB Steven Jackson, who played despite missing practice all week due to a sore back. He registered 89 yards and a late score on 23 carries, providing the offense some hint of respectability.
“It wasn’t 100 percent but I think we all know that,” Jackson said. “It was enough to get me through the game.”
Kyle Boller stepped in to replace the injured QB Marc Bulger, but didn’t have much more success than Bulger had managed so far this season. Boller finished 28-of-46 for 282 yards, including one touchdown and two interceptions.
