St. Louis Rams quarterback Marc Bulger will miss the next three-to-six weeks with a broken leg.
Bulger was injured during the team’s loss to the Arizona Cardinals.
Kyle Boller, who saw time as the starter earlier in the season, will once again find himself under center.
Boller actually did a decent job in relief of Bulger until he started games, at which time he regressed.
Such is the story of Boller’s career, as the quarterback always seems to be at his best when he is doing the least thinking.

The St. Louis Rams mounted a late rally but it was too little, too late in a 21-13 loss to the Arizona Cardinals.
It was another big effort from running back Steven Jackson, who finished with 116 yards on the ground and a touchdown.
St. Louis had trouble slowing down Arizona’s offensive attack early in the game but really settle down once Kurt Warner left with a head injury.
Defending the prolific Arizona offense with Matt Leinart at quarterback proved to be much less daunting of a task.
The team did lose quarterback Marc Bulger to an injury that could sideline him for several weeks, meaning Kyle Boller will see more time as the starter.

The St. Louis Rams put up in admirable performance but came up just short in a 28-23 loss to the New Orleans Saints.
Running back Steven Jackson had a huge day, yet again topping the 100-yard mark and finding the end zone.
The Rams defense really did a great job against what is one of the most explosive offense in all of football.
They really only gave up 21 points because one of the touchdown came via a back-breaking kickoff return just before halftime.
It looks back at 1-8, but there is little doubt that the Rams are making some progress at the midway point of the season.

The St. Louis Rams finally won their first game of the season, beating the Detroit Lions, 17-10.
It was ironic for the Rams to beat the Lions given that it seemed they were chasing them down for most consecutive losses.
Running back Steven Jackson really got untracked in this one, rushing for 149 yards and a touchdown to lead the way.
The Rams got a strong effort from their defense that was helped out by the absence of Lions star wideout Calvin Johnson.
St. Louis will now look to build on their first victory of the season, which also happened to be the first win for head coach Steve Spagnuolo.
